Here we will learn about spam protection to protect our blogs and websites. WordPress provides preinstalled antispam solution – Akismet. You can activate Akismet to prevent spam. Follow following points to enable Akismet Spam Protection plugin for your website or blog –

• Login to  wordpress website using user name or email and password.

• After login you will go on Dashboard.

• Go to Plugins ? Installed. The following screen will be displayed.

• Click on Akismet Activate button

• After activate the plugin you will get following screen –

• Now Click on Activate your Akismet account and Click on Get your API key 

• Now Signing up in following page –

• After signup process, you will get an API key in your registered e-mail id. Enter API Key in following box and click on Use This Key to complete process.
